Chuck E. Cheese Mascot Arrested on Felony Credit Card Charges in Tallahassee

Tallahassee, Florida – A man dressed in a full Chuck E. Cheese mascot costume was arrested inside a Tallahassee restaurant on multiple felony charges of credit card theft and fraud. The bizarre arrest, which took place in front of bewildered children and families, involved police officers handcuffing the man and removing his furry, oversized mouse head before placing him in a squad car.

The suspect, 41-year-old Jermell Jones, was identified after a woman, Michelle Allen, reported that her “child support Visa debit card” had been stolen from the restaurant. Through her own investigation, Allen discovered that her card had been used for fraudulent purchases at various locations, including smoke shops, a Circle K, grocery stores, and a Whataburger.
