A Taste of Freedom: Dairy Queen Blizzard Helps End Armed Standoff In Washington State
A multi-agency armed standoff in rural Washington state concluded peacefully after the arson suspect, 40-year-old Elijah Reagan, agreed to surrender in exchange for a Dairy Queen Blizzard and a hamburger. Reagan, who had allegedly set fire to his Pullman apartment using a firework and was smoking methamphetamine during the hours-long confrontation, had his requested meal delivered to his car via a tactical robot. He was arrested on felony charges of first-degree arson and attempting to elude police and is being held on $250,000 bond.
