Unhappy Meal: Ronald McDonald Imposter Charged with Felony After Resisting Arrest for Trespassing
Christopher Marlowe, 40, was arrested in Palm Bay, Florida, for trespassing and resisting officers with violence after he was found loitering at a shopping center from which he had been previously banned. Marlowe, who was dressed in a full costume resembling Ronald McDonald—complete with a pink wig, a yellow vest featuring a skull logo, and a red nose—engaged in a verbal and physical confrontation with police. Upon being told by an officer, “You look like a clown,” Marlowe reportedly shot back, “No shit, I am a clown, stupid.” A search revealed he was carrying an orange replica gun and had multiple extra clown outfits and red noses in his backpack. Marlowe, who has a history of drug and resisting arrest convictions, including a prior disturbance outside a McDonald’s, is being held on a $5,500 bond.
