Emergency Discovery: St. Petersburg Stab Victim Arrested for Felony Cocaine Possession After Nurse Finds Drug Stash During Surgery Prep
Michael O’Neill, a 43-year-old Florida man transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for emergency surgery following a stabbing, was subsequently arrested on felony drug charges. A registered nurse preparing O’Neill for his procedure discovered a makeshift stash, including a glass crack pipe, a lighter, and several pieces of cocaine, hidden in his rectum. O’Neill, who has a history of concealing drugs in his “buttocks area,” was charged with felony cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $5,500 bond and has pleaded not guilty.
